How to care for your jewellery

While our entire collection has been designed to last, we always recommend looking after your jewellery as well as you can to keep it looking sparkly and fresh.
Although we use the highest quality metals, anything that is silver or gold-plated (aka dipped in a thin layer of real gold or silver to give the effect of a gold/silver finish), is prone to tarnishing.
For all of our styles, we recommend following the below care advice:
  • Avoid moisture: Moisture can cause sterling silver to tarnish, so try to keep it away from the shower and pool. This rule applies to all of our jewellery except from our waterproof collection.
  • Polish it before it tarnishes: If your item is sterling silver, polishing it before it becomes too tarnished can save you time and effort.
  • When not wearing your jewellery, store it in a drawer away from direct sunlight, or in a Ziploc bag or airtight container. You can also store it in a soft cloth pouch, but try to minimise contact with other jewellery, especially metal pieces or sharp objects.
  • Keep your jewellery away from chemicals, oils, lotions, bleach, chlorine, and aerosols like hair spray or sunblock, as these can stain or corrode the metal.
Hoops no longer 'clicking' together?
There's a quick, simple fix.
If the hoop is bent inwards or outwards, you can use your fingers to bend it back into place so that both ends are aligned and it fits securely.
Over time, the closure of a hoop earring can become loose and not click into place as tightly as it once did. To fix this, open the earring and gently pull the post upwards until it clicks into place. If you pull too far, you can gently push it down to loosen it.
If the clicker won't close tightly, you can try using ring closing pliers to adjust it. Place the ring between the grooves of the pliers and gently squeeze until it closes, which should make a clicking sound.
